It says that Food Safety Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) has completed an administrative assessment and accepted an application from the New South Wales Department of Primary Industries to irradiate blueberries and raspberries for phytosanitary purposes.

FSANZ says an opportunity for public comment will be allowed at a later date. It is likely that this application will begin processing in February 2016.
