A large group from across MPI and industry worked through the key aims of the engagement, and what they would consider to be ‘success’ in the system.

MPI has also given us some feedback on the consultation for the Border Clearance Levy. MPI met with 45 companies and industry groups to brief them on the proposed levy. Several public meetings were also held. A total of 33 submissions were received on the levy.

MPI says the next phase is to advise Government on the feedback, which will be considered and will inform the Government’s final decision. This decision is expected by October.
