Cassai will host two sessions showcasing SA produce, at 1pm and 3pm, in conjunction with Onions Australia CEO, Lechelle Earl.
One of the favourites of the 2014 season, she has recently launched her homestyle cookbook, ‘My Italian Kitchen’.
“Onions are a kitchen staple that can be used in so many ways, and feature in many of my recipes,” Cassai said. “As a proud South Australian I am thrilled to be able to demonstrate my authentic style of cooking at such an iconic event as the Royal Adelaide Show. I could not think of a better way to showcase one of SA’s most important horticulture crops.”
Earl said Onions Australia was honoured to have such a passionate onion ambassador in. “Given that South Australia supplies the majority of onions on the Australian domestic market, it is a wonderful opportunity to work with Laura to promote our humble onion.”
