Pacific exporters feature at Fine Food Australia

16 September 2015

Organising the participation of Pacific exporters at the show is a joint initiative of Pacific Islands Trade and Invest (PT&I) Sydney office and the European Union-funded SPC – IACT (Increasing Agricultural Commodity Trade) programme.

For the fifth year running, a Pacific Islands-branded stand that has eleven companies exhibiting has been a worthwhile opportunity to meet potential Australian and international buyers under the one roof over four days. With more than 24,000 visitors and 1000 exhibitors attending, PT&I said it is an ideal forum for Pacific Island premium niche products at such a high profile show and to check out the global competition.

It says that for many participants, this is one of the biggest platforms on which to showcase their wares. Products being exhibited illustrate the diversity of premium food and beverage coming out of the region. From tea, coffee and chocolate to bottled water and virgin coconut oil in premium packaging gives the discerning buyer plenty of options and a point of difference to take to market.

Jeremy Grennell, PT&I Acting Trade Commissioner in Sydney, said, β€œIt is the fifth year that we have attended Fine Food, and momentum and focus builds every year. We are looking forward to exhibiting some premium niche products from the Pacific to local and international buyers as well as telling them the story behind each of these products.”

The Pacific Islands Stand is Q38 – PT&I said that all are welcome to drop by to try samples of the wide variety of products and talk to the producers who have travelled from all over the Pacific Islands to Sydney.
