Those who are – or know – a university student interested in plant science, should apply for the NZPPS Research Scholarship. This scholarship is to encourage research in relevant disciplines (entomology, plant pathology, weed science, zoology, ecology and plant protection sciences), on topics relating to control of pests, pathogens and/or weeds in primary production.

Those specifically interested in weed science can apply for the Dan Watkins Scholarship, which aims to encourage research into the biology and control of weeds in New Zealand.
