Stoffels new creation is called the 'Automaat' and was introduced last summer in a few greengrocer shops in Belgium. "These shops saw an immediate increase in the sales of cherry tomatoes after introducing the 'Automaat'. The Automaat has attracted both young and old. You can choose which cherry tomato you want, pull the handle and let the tomatoes fall into your bag," says Stoffels’ Petra Veldman.

"The innovative aspect of the dispenser is not only the fun-factor. Whereas many machines are not used for soft products, the Automaat can separate soft fruits and vegetables. The dispenser also has optimal hygiene and a minimum product loss. Stoffels received the IFS label, which sets high standards for food safety. We ensure that our tomatoes meet the strict hygiene standards in stores."
