As a satellite from its 2016 Science Symposium, High-Value Nutrition has organised a workshop focused on the international regulatory aspects of food health claims. The workshop will bring a business perspective and hands-on experience to the application process internationally, with an emphasis on Asia.
The workshop is being hosted by Patrick Coppens, the Regional Director for European Advisory Services (EAS) Strategies, based in Brussels. He is an international expert in food law, regulatory procedures and nutrition, with an extensive background in scientific and regulatory affairs and quality assurance and has wide experience in food safety, food labelling, health claims and the addition of nutrients to foods on both a national and international level.
While in New Zealand, Coppens will also address the High-Value Nutrition Science Symposium – Foods of the Future – Transforming New Zealand into a Silicon Valley of Foods for Health, which follows on from the workshop, on 13 and 14 April.
