Announcing the launch of the online resource, Pacific Islands Trade & Invest (PT&I) NZ Trade Commissioner, Michael Greenslade, said, “We are delighted to provide a solution for online searches through our new landing page, which we have called ‘The Hub’.This is primarily a resource for users searching the internet seeking connection with trade and investment opportunities in the Pacific.”
‘The Hub’, he said, was an operational tool for our team in New Zealand to engage through the internet’s search engines such as Google to help find Pacific trade and investment opportunities.
The resource lists a range of trade sectors and existing investment opportunities in the Pacific Islands.
PT&I NZ Chief Operating Officer and Head of Investments, Manuel Valdez, said, “Over the last year we have built nearly 70 investment ready projects and placed initial details on The Hub to assist investors to make the next step and the list is progressively being updated and added to.” Investment ready opportunities cover a range of sectors including tourism, hospitality, food & beverages, garments and others.
Meanwhile, Joe Fuavao, PT&I NZ Trade Development Manager, said, “The Hub promotes fifteen different categories of product available for exports from a range of Pacific Islands.” He added that new entries were continually being added to the list, particularly companies visiting New Zealand as part of our Path to Market Programme.
PT&I said that the best way to find The Hub is to search on Google where potential buyers and investors can view product and investment categories and self-qualify their interest by providing their contact details and a request for further details.
