During his weekly show, ‘I’ll Drink to That’, Dalton chats candidly with guests from his New York living room about about wine, life and work, and engages tens of thousands of listeners across the world. “I’m looking forward to seeing the world from the other way around. It’s my first visit and I'll be focusing on the Kiwi culture, the adventurous lifestyle, and of course New Zealand Pinot Noir.”
Pinot Noir 2017 Chair, Ben Glover, said Dalton will add strength to social engagement around the event due to his large, global online audience. “Levi Dalton is part of the new wave of wine communicators, embracing the social platforms to capture, educate, inform and entertain wine fanatics across all channels.”
Dalton joins a stellar line up of key note speakers at Pinot Noir NZ 2017 including: the world’s most influential wine commentator, UK-based Jancis Robinson, OBE, MW; highly eminent Japanese wine and sake expert Ken Ohashi, MW; and Grammy Award-winning Tool frontman and winemaker Maynard James Keenan (MJK), from Arizona in the US.
Taking place over three days, from 31 January 2017 on Wellington’s Waterfront, 500 attendees will be immersed in an aspirational and thought-provoking programme, exploring and embracing New Zealand Pinot Noir, its people, and its underlying sense of place.
Held every four years, the event brings together 117 of New Zealand’s top Pinot Noir producers showcasing over 300 wines. There will be intellectual discussion, world-class keynote speakers, and plenty of tasting sessions to stimulate all your senses.
