Flowers Victoria said that it set out with the intention to dramatically enhance the annual event by hand picking Melbourne’s premium flagship florists such as Katie Marx, Cecilia Fox, North St Botanical and Loose Leaf who all drew breaths with their magical displays, in addition to show regulars who took it to the next level with their imaginative nature inspired creations. It congratulates all award winners of the central displays, in particular Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust (Gold Medal) and Bloom College (Bronze Medal) on this huge accolade.
The unstoppable Chrysco, together with The Flower Temple, completely transformed the central site under the dome with a four-tier chrysanthemum studded chandelier over a ballroom and living floral gowns designed by Melbourne couture designer, Jason Grech. Interactive dancers performed in this majestic space several times a day over the course of the show.
The organisation thanks all who came to its annual cocktail party which was hosted by Channel 7 newsreader, Jacqui Felgate, and entertainment supplied by a DJ and a percussionist. Flowers Victoria said that the event had a great turn out which enabled local industry to network, catch up and see the beautiful floral displays without the crowds.
