The Expo is being held on 27-28 July at Gatton and will showcase new vegetable varieties and innovations in seed technology and breeding. This is the first time a large horticulture expo has been held in the Lockyer valley for more than fifteen years.

“It was great atmosphere working together to start planting for the expo,” said Michael Sippel from Terranova Seeds. “The Lockyer Valley produces 120 different horticultural crops and to have ten international seed companies showcasing their varieties will be a really great sight. Terranova Seeds have been strong supporters of the Lockyer Valley Growers since it started and our company is very excited about the expo.”

The Expo will be held at the Gatton Research Facility on the Warrego Highway and will also provide machinery and innovative technology demonstrations, cooking demonstrations and other industry specific exhibits.

Sippel added, “Terranova Seeds look forward to showcasing their leafy greens and vegetable varieties suitable for winter production in the Lockyer Valley”.

The other seed companies that will be exhibiting at the Expo are Seminis, Bejo Seeds, Bayer, Lefroy Valley, Fairbanks Seeds, HM Clause, South Pacific Seeds, Westranell and Rijk Zwaan.
