Who will be the Next Young Grower of the Year?

This Is It: Young Grower Finals
The Young Grower of the Year Finals will take place at Pukekohe Indian Hall today, Wednesday 20 July. The event will begin at 8.30am, and finish at 2.15pm. Spectators are welcome to attend, with many exciting events and a gold coin donation lunch at 12.30pm. An evening function will begin at 6.30pm, and will entail a gala dinner, contestant speeches, and the announcement of this year’s winner. The contestants are:

Andrew Hutchinson, 28, Technical Support for AS Wilcox in Pukekohe, Young Vegetable Grower
Jack Gilchrist, 23, Assistant Manager of Willowbrook Orchard in Roxburgh, Central Otago Fruit Grower
Chris Clement, 29, Technical operator for Apata Group in Te Puke, Bay of Plenty Fruit Grower
Tom Dalziel, 27, Orchard Supervisor for Thomas Brothers in Riwaka, Nelson Fruit Grower
Jordan James, 25, Senior Supervisor with Mr Apple in the Hawke’s Bay, Hawke’s Bay Fruit Grower

The winner will go on to compete for Young Horticulturist of the Year later in 2016
