Chief Executive, John Liddle, says that the AGM's support heralds an exciting new chapter in the Association's long and rich history, with big changes ahead for the Association and the opportunity now to grow industry unity – for both plant producers supplying across all sectors and industry partners.

He reports that a Transitional Board has been put in place to lead the next phase as NZPPI gets underway, including to oversee board elections later this year.

Members of the Transitional Board were announced at the AGM and include: Grant Hayman, Headford Propagators; Patrick Murray, Murray’s Nurseries; Andrew Tayler, Rainbow Park; Peter Fraser, Growing Spectrum; Geoff Thorpe, Riversun Nurseries; Vince Wylaars, Zealandia Horticulture; Mike Simpson, Waimea Nurseries; Don Forgie, Tui Products; and Independent Chair Andrew Harrison.

Liddle thanks all those who have helped and supported the organisation through this journey.  He believes it has an exciting future, a great opportunity and be working hard with and for members over the next few months to get things up and running.

Further communications from the Transitional Board are expected to be forthcoming in the weeks ahead, as things develop.
