Based in Wellington, Woodstock specialises in weddings, social & corporate functions, events & private dinners.

Company owner, Vanessa Prockter, and her team of ‘super-hero’ florists are proud to support New Zealand local growers.

She explained a bit about her background and her thoughts on the NZ Flower Industry:

What sparked your interest to become a florist?

“Floristry found me through a friend. I studied textile design & was working freelance designing. I needed a change & a more regular income.”

Where did you study/practice floristry?

“I got a job at ‘Annabel’s’ in Wellington & was lucky to work with top Wellington florist Denzil Philp for four years. He was semi-retired then, but the days he came into work were turned into training sessions, I absorbed everything he taught me, he was very creative, hugely talented and completely inspirational.”

How long have you been working ‘in the biz’?

“Haha – 20+ years now!”

What does it mean to you to be a NZ florist?

“I love what I do, am a little obsessed with flowers & feel privileged to be part of such a creative industry.”

What do you love about NZ Flowers and Foliage?

“We are so lucky in NZ to have the variety & quality of flowers that are grown here. Compared to overseas where the flowers have to come from far & wide.”

Woodstock Florist has been ‘creating beauty with nature’ for over fifteen years in Wellington. The business ensures that its florist & design store stocks New Zealand Made items and only the highest quality fresh cut flower.

Bringing together a passion for beautiful flowers the team creates exquisite arrangements for any occasion from weddings to birthdays.

Among the overflowing colourful bouquets you can also find fantastic gift ideas and homewares to brighten up that special someone’s day.
