The Department says it is concerned at the level of inconsistency between the RFP and the consignment presented at the time of inspection. For example, the inclusion of additional consignment lines, changes to commodities and changes to destination country.
The agency adds that the exporter is responsible for ensuring that the RFP is accurate prior to inspection. If the RFP does not match the consignment, the exporter must amend or resubmit the RFP prior to inspection.
Inspections cannot proceed if the consignment presented does not match the RFP. Authorised Officers must reject the consignment, or request that the exporter amend the RFP prior to inspection in accordance with the relevant work instruction.
