Food entrepreneurs wanted!

25 January 2017

Those selected will receive an intensive three-month programme to fasttrack their food ideas from concept to commercialisation.

Innovation Centre Sunshine Coast will deliver the Grow Coastal program to find, fund and accelerate twelve ambitious food-related businesses on the Sunshine Coast, and in Noosa, Moreton Bay and Gympie regions.

Registration cost per participant or team is $600, but all teams that reach week eight will receive $1200 in seed funding.

Tara Mei, founder of Kitchen Table Projects, will deliver the Grow Coastal programme. Since launching London’s first retail incubator in June 2015, she has supported more than 500 food and drink brands from start-ups to scale-ups. Mei has a strong worldwide network of industry experts, food producers, distributors and buyers to draw from.

Innovation Sunshine Coast is one of four industry-focused business accelerators receiving funding over two years from the $9 million Advance Queensland Industry Accelerators Program to stimulate jobs and growth in early stage businesses and startups.

Applications close 27 February.
