edp, now in its 70th year in business, is a major partner of Citrus Australia and a major supplier to the Australian citrus industry in the area of retail packaging machinery and consumables. The company is also the Australian agent for the Spanish company, Giro.
Robert Marsters, edp Business Manager Retail Packaging said, visitors at the edp stand will be able to view the variety of packaging our machinery can produce, including new window compact bags and clip-to-clip packaging. “New technology in packaging machinery and consumables can reduce human error, which cuts cost and improves profitability.”
“We will also have a representative from Giro at our stand who can speak directly with growers and packers to answer any questions.”
edp General Manager, Ray Thrum, said it was an exciting time to be involved in the citrus industry and he was looking forward to speaking with growers at the Tech Forum.
Thrum said the citrus industry has been an important part of his business. “We are pleased to strengthen our ties with Citrus Australia and put something back into the industry”.
“Talking with growers over the past twelve months, it’s clear that citrus has experienced an excellent year particularly with Navels.
“There are opportunities for growers and packers and we would like to help them maximise those. So please talk to Robert Marsters and Mick Schirmer at the Citrus Tech Forum in Mildura.
“We pride ourselves at edp on delivering for growers and packers the best solutions for their needs and look forward to presenting our latest product guide.”
