New Video Promotes 'NZ Grown'
The National Flower Promotion Group has produced a new video addressing consumer awareness of the benefits of supporting New Zealand's Floriculture industry
The group outlines that spring and summer months bring flushes of fresh locally-grown flowers, a higher volume than at any other time of year, making local flowers an ideal purchasing option at this time of the year.
Blessed with ideal conditions for growing flowers in NZ, NFPG says both retailers and consumers are spoiled for choice when it comes to quality, variety, availability and price.
The organisation has recently launched its Love NZ Grown Flowers video which documents the ‘life and times’ of a NZ cut flower. Considered a first-ever for the NZ flower industry, the video shows just how much work goes into keeping NZ-grown products readily available to market, and is part of an ongoing campaign to support the local industry.
NFPG is asking growers and retailers to share its video on their websites and Facebook pages, and suggests such a move would go a long way in showing their support for the New Zealand Flower Industry. The more views the video has, the broader the industry’s audience becomes, with a view to motivating Kiwis to support NZ-grown.
