HortNZ supports MPI’s suggested changes to flower imports

The industry body adds it will be making submissions on the proposed amendments, as it believes imported cut flowers and foliage are potential carriers of a wide range of horticulture pests and diseases.

HortNZ says is important New Zealand has robust standards and effective treatments in place to protect native species and the country’s $5 billion horticulture industry.
