Hort trade barriers report released

11 December 2014

The report is jointly published every two years by the Horticulture Export Authority and Horticulture New Zealand, and put together by Wellington consultancy, Market Access Solutionz.

It shows that in the year ended June 2014 the industry paid $181 million in tariffs, an average of $38,000 for every grower. HortNZ says the good news is that despite the increase in the value of exports, the tariff cost has dropped by $60 million over the past two years.
