This is the 25th anniversary of the commission, which has a mission to ‘provide a unified effort by farmers to enhance the performance of the California cut flower and foliage industry’.
In addition to uniting farmers to advance the state's flower industry, the commission has helped position the California Grown flower brand. CCFC also is active in a national coalition of flower farmers.
Backing the Certified American Grown initiative, CCFC recently launched a nationwide tour of farm-to-fork-style dinners called, ‘The American Grown Field to Vase Dinner Tour’. It raises awareness and educates consumers about the importance of fresh flowers to the dining experience.
