CUT FLOWER

New blog for floriculturists interested in IPM

1 May 2015

The ONfloriculture blog (ONfloriculture.wordpress.com) went live on 14 April. Its goal is to pass on important technical information to flower growers and pest management consultants as fast as possible.

Some information will be Ontario-specific, but much of it will be pertinent to greenhouse floriculture IPM worldwide. Topics will include emerging pests in floriculture crops, new strategies in insect and pathogen IPM, new product registrations/label expansions, and the latest in IPM research.

Contributing to the blog is Dr. Sarah Jandricic, a greenhouse floriculture IPM specialist for Ontario, Canada (through the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs). She has over twelve years of experience in floriculture IPM research, and has collaborated with growers, researchers and other industry leaders in Ontario, New York State, and North Carolina.

Various industry specialists are also expected to contribute on a regular basis.
