Young Horticulturist Competition: The Stage is Set

Finals night is the culmination of a year of hard work for the contestants and the organisers alike. This years finals event is tinged with sadness due to the recent passing of the greatly respected teacher, mentor and horticulturist David Puflett. 'Puff' was instrumental in getting the Young Horticulturist of the year off the ground and bringing on board Elenka Nikoloff to manage the event, a task she has taken on with great dedication since the events inception

The grand finale Awards night takes place in Auckland at the Rendezvous Hotel, on Thursday 15th November where the contestants have the opportunity to impress the judges and the audience with speeches, and the winner and place getters will be decided on aggregate scores across all activities.
