“Heliconias and other tropical flowers, delphinium and gypshophila, hydrangeas, chrysanthemums, carnations, lilies and spray roses, bamboo for gardens, foliage plantas as codiaeum and pittosporum palms, through twenty bouquets designed by four renowned florists in Amsterdam,” said Juan Patricio Navarro, director of the commercial office of Pro Ecuador in Rotterdam.
Each flower arrangement was accompanied by a label with the country’s brand and Pro Ecuador logo. 6,000 postcards were also distributed showing information (four different topics, relevant to Ecuadorian flowers) and their points of sale in the Netherlands.
Navarro said the goal was to promote the Ecuadorian flowers and encourage local consumption by connecting renowned florists with Ecuadorian growers who already export to the Netherlands.
