HortNZ says anti-dumping remains an issue

It said that the Hawke’s Bay Fruitgrowers Association, Heinz Wattie’s and Hawke’s Bay MP, Craig Foss, all put their weight behind rejection of the ATP and were successful in getting that idea thrown out by Cabinet last week.

The industry body believes a public interest test is usually weighted heavily in favour of the consumer, as opposed to the local producer.
