PMA A-NZ launches its 2018-2020 strategic plan

20 December 2017

The industry group says that the pace of change in produce industries around the world, is only getting faster. Competition and demands for innovation are emerging from more places than ever before. Consumer sophistication has reached new heights, but so has consumer misinformation and clutter. PMA A-NZ says that it’s here to help members of the produce and floral industries stimulate demand and cultivate a healthier world.

As the only produce and floral association that brings together all parts of the world and all parts of the supply chains, PMA A-NZ says it is the hub of an unprecedented concentration of produce and floral knowledge and access to resources through its members and its expert volunteers and staff. Today, with a new vision in place, the time is right for bigger leaps forward.

The Vision

Bringing together the global produce and floral community to grow a healthier world.

The Mission

To connect, inform and deliver industry solutions to enhance members’ prosperity.

The Benefits

PMA A-NZ says that its new 2018-2020 strategic plan was built on priorities that industry leaders and their companies identified. It delivers more ways to turn the global produce and floral supply chains into an interconnected community of people and ideas that can make opportunities bigger and problems smaller.

The industry body says its focus will be on:

  • Value Creation — because its members need more ideas that increase the presence and sales of their products and services;
  • Industry Talent — because its members need tools and programs that attract, develop and retain top talent;
  • Local and Global Connections — because its members need to maintain or grow their business – by measures relevant to them;
  • Technology and Innovation — because its members need deeper understanding of emerging science and technologies to enhance food safety and operational efficiencies;
  • Sustainability — because its members need education to help them develop, share and adopt best practices;
  • Diversity  — because it leads to increased profitability and opportunities for workers;

in order to …

  • Deliver value to members year-round;
  • Grow our network so members can grow theirs;
  • Become an even more trusted resource for the global produce and floral industries.
