NZ Avocado report shows record volumes
New Zealand Avocado released its 2015 Annual Report, showing a record harvest of 7.1 million trays. Other highlights included the facts that 90,000 new households are purchasing avocados in NZ, along with record volumes being exported to priority Asian markets.

PMA A-NZ, local companies launch scholarship program

USDA announces FVIAC meeting
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Fruit and Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee (FVIAC) will meet on 15-16 September in Washington, D.C. The meeting, which is open to the public, will take place from 8:30 am-5 pm on 15 September and from 8:30 am-1 pm on 16 September.
